Holly is moving to the Discovery/Front End/Customer Service Subcommittee and Nicole will be taking her place on this subcommittee.
Stacey is co-chair of Metadata/Cataloguing Subcommittee and is joining to listen and share where there may be opportunities for subcommittees to work together or complement each other’s work.
Action Items Update
Collections not represented in the Community Zone table has been updated; will continue to do so
Leigh added a column for “Content Type” and area to identify collections that are in the CZ but do not have satisfactory records/metadata
Review draft Briefing Note and discuss next steps by committee members.
The https://clo-collaboration-spaces.atlassian.net/l/c/gu3bPcWF has been created with intention of creating a long-standing structure to manage E-resources records after implementation. Also, it is important to make sure that the records meet quality levels, which connect with Metadata/Cataloguing Subcommittee’s work. Basically, there is a need to determine what is the best way to do this work collectively that would have been done individually in the past. Several options were considered, including creating a new long-standing Working Group, but more information about the workflow was needed to make a recommendation.
Liana proposes that in the meantime to identify items on the list that cannot have title level discoverability because there’s no metadata or because it’s not desirable. Nicole has begun this work and transferred the list to a Google Sheet with more functionality. Column K refers to title-level for titles in the package.

Note that for anything that doesn’t have any metadata, OCLS will create a single record that is discoverable in Primo.
ACTION ITEM: Identify those items on this list without title-level access in Column K by next meeting (Jan 20). If you disagree with what’s there, then leave note in Column L.
ACTION ITEM: Aura to archive List Confluence Page and post link to Google Sheet.
After list identification in column K is complete, Liana suggests creating a survey for other to identify which collections are high priority to ensure the work is prioritized correctly. Other possible questions include:
Do you currently receive records for this collection?
Do you need to update this records after you receive them?
Did you include this collection in your P2E file?
The survey can be done in the new year.
Before the holidays, the subcommittee would like to communicate a status update on the work being done on the table and the next steps to other college liaisons via email. The content should include thanks for contributions, working on strategy for importing records for items not in Community Zone, will take some time to develop.
ACTION ITEM: Lindsay to draft short email communication on status of the List and next steps before the holidays.
Reminder - CLSP Holiday Party on Dec. 17, 2021 at 10:00 am
Any other Business? (AoB)
Potential faculty strike may affect members of subcommittee that are faculty.
Cheryl attended Amigos conference and will share presentations. She noted very interesting pilot projects in US for sharing eBooks and streaming videos by ILL by providing a specific URL for resource to end user with specific time frame (e.g. 21 days), similar for eBooks but you need a platform like Iliad.
