Page 1+ Community Rules

Treat others the way you wish to be treated. We want everyone in the Community to feel it is a safe place to express themselves and engage with others. Abusive, disrespectful, or negative comments and behaviour will not be tolerated.

Treats personal information seriously. Please do not post or share information that could be considered personal or confidential such as student names, IDs, contact information, comments shared in confidence, etc. This also includes information that could be considered proprietary to your own organization.

We want our community to evolve into an open and engaging place where individuals can discuss ideas and share solutions to problems. Please keep discussions focused on Page 1+ related questions and topics. This is not a place for other business development activities, and business unrelated to Page 1+.

In an age where individuals can hide behind the mask of an alias, we want our community to be safe and transparent for all its participants. Please do not pose as anyone other than yourself. Make your intentions clear to others about who you are and who you are representing. Do not speak on behalf of anyone you are not entitled to. We want our community to be a safe place for healthy and transparent discussion.

We do not support the use of our community for illegal activity. Please do not share or post content illegal in nature.

Think of this community like you would your own and help keep it safe by looking out for your fellow neighbours. If you have concerns about content, email Aura Hill (ahill@ocls.ca).

Page 1+ Community Guidelines

Take full advantage of all the growing knowledge and resources in our community. A community is like a living organism - it grows and evolves. Engage each other respectfully, help each other out, and have fun!

Please keep in mind that the information in the Community is for general information purposes only. This information should not be construed as policies specific to Page 1+.

By searching for your problem first and joining in on conversations, we can build a community that is quick and easy to help solve your issues. In many cases, someone will have had the same issue or question before and may have already found a solution or answer! Watch for discussions marked “Best Answer” to guide you quickly to an answered question.

Congratulations if you’ve found an answer to your question, but don’t forget that others might also have the same question. When we share information with others, the value of our community grows as well. When you make a post or start discussions, please tag and sort your posts in the right place, so others can find it easily. This ensures content is easily searchable for everyone in the community. If your discussion evolves into something else, that’s great, and we encourage you to begin a new discussion thread.

Trouble Shooting in the Discussion Forum

Since the launch of the new Page 1+ Discussion Forum, several users have reported problems accessing the actual Questions app part of the discussion forum.

It appears that the most likely cause of this issue is that there the site is accessing an additional URL (app.questions-answers-community-prod.com/) which is blocked in some college systems. This issue can be fixed by adding the URL to an exceptions list in the system so that it can be accessed.

We suggest you first try the following actions before reaching out to your institution's IT department:

  • Refresh the page

  • Close the current window and re-opening it

  • Make sure your computer does not need a software update

  • Try to access the app in a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.) and try going incognito/private/etc.

If none of the above suggestions work, we recommend contacting your Institutions IT department for more assistance.

Hello,

I am currently experiencing issues accessing the Questions app offered through Confluence. I cannot access the page; I just see a loading icon, which does not resolve.

I have tried different browsers, including going incognito, but the issue persistents.

Could you please investigate and ensure I can have access to this app going forward?
