Reloan Limits
Aimee Jeffrey, Conestoga:
set TOU to item policy and material type but reloan limit only applying to the same item: when a patron checks out 1 item, returns it, and checks out the same item with the same item policy and material type, it let’s them check it out
behaviour is also happening for items that are within the same bib
Rebecca Pearson, Lambton:
same bibs - what’s your override rules?
AJ: pop up override; can manually prevent reloans but not for the laptop kiosk
will never choose the same item in a row, different item
don’t want patrons to continually take out laptops
Rebecca: policy question: if there are laptops available in the case, why should they not be taking one?
Aimee:
we only have 24 in the kiosk and it has just opened, something we need to test
previously, we would run out of laptops
Rebecca:
test by loaning out 24 to fake people and have 24th one return a laptop, so the only one available is the one they returned and have them try to take it out again
Aimee:
pretty sure that would be blocked for a different reason - the device itself blocks loans until the laptop is charged to 100%
previously tested with just barcodes, it won’t let you take out the same one again - so that is working correctly, but not sure why it is limiting to the item itself when i chose item policy and material type
Rebecca:
working as expected, applying TOU to items with that item policy and material type when the certain user groups are using it but the TOU can’t extend beyond that record
TOU doesn’t check every item with that TOU, checks only items in the bib or items in the item
don’t think it is possible to configure this
Aimee:
works for other things, e.g. if we don’t want students to have 2 different kinds of cables
Rebecca:
reloan: no reloan for 2 hours or no parallel reloan limit
if there is a way to connect bib together, that’s probably what you would have to do so they are considered parallel
Aimee:
can choose none, parallel or other
we have chosen other and added 30 minutes in the description
Letters
Rebecca Pearson, Lambton:
letters with broken barcodes now consistently showing the barcode
did not do anything to change it
will not put a ticket in for now, unless the broken barcode comes back
Alyssa Kuehner, Fanshawe:
issue with barcodes in their reserves report has also been resolved

Previously, bar codes were missing from printouts when printing from the Printouts Queue. This was fixed.
