Study Group Session 78: General Question and Answer
Session Notes
Discussion forum posts since last meeting
Issue with English language filters in Primo VE: Ex Libris development team is collecting data on collections and aim to improve this over time but have no concrete timeline for resolving the issue yet
Changes to permalinks: permalinks can change as a result of changes to the records in the NZ/IZ, CDI permalinks will look different, only Ex Libris is able to make changes to CDI and it is difficult to predict when those permalinks will break
Creating related records in Primo VE
Jessie Collins at Conestoga College would like to link different editions in the same record/show up together in Primo VE
have different ISBNs
won't match naturally so we are wondering if anyone has a work around to match these records in a different way
not a volume set
won’t get a dedup match because no match points - but wondering if there is a workaround?
Danielle: the bib records should not be linked, there should be separate bib records for different editions as they are different manifestations
have separate bib records but would like for them to show up together in Primo VE under “see all versions”
Irene Sillius, Sheridan College:
how related records are to be set up in Page 1+ might be something the Metada Steering Committee needs to look into
Jessie can reach out to Irene for additional assistance with this

Order of Databases in ViewIt List in Primo VE
Question was initially asked in the Discussion Forum and then discussed at Study Group Session 77
Rebecca Pearson at Lambton College only able to access database that were placed in the IZ, not ones activated in the NZ from Alma:
Configuration > Fulfillment > Discovery Interface Display Logic > Online Services Order > Add to top > Full text
does anyone have a workaround to get those collections/databases in here?
staff at Conestoga and Algonquin can see a larger list of databases, this might be an issue with configurations at Lambton
Irene Sillius, Sheridan College will mention this issue to Emma who dealt with it at Sheridan
Irene’s last meeting!
This is Irene’s last Study Group meeting as she will be retiring at the end of the month
