Description

As of May 2023, all 24 Ontario college libraries are using Alma & Primo VE. Page 1+ is the cooperative initiative between the 24 institutions to leverage this common Library Services Platform (LSP) wherever possible to build collective skill, expertise, and capacity among the colleges. Page 1+ also refers to the library discovery interface powered by Primo VE in each of the college libraries.

OCLS offers a suite of services that work to support the Page 1+ initiative including:

• Resource Sharing

• Library Services Platform Support

• Metadata Management

OCLS and the Page 1+ Steering Committee work together to steward the Page 1+ initiative, aiming to maintain it as a symbol of College Library Ontario’s collective commitment to collaboration rather than merely a library management software or search engine..

Governance

Page 1+ is supported by the Page 1+ Steering Committee. The purpose of the Steering Committee is to provide consistent leadership and decision-making that will inform policies and procedures across collaborative efforts involving the common Library Services Platform used in Ontario college libraries. The current chairs are Marnie Seal (Cambrian) and John Ellis (Algonquin).
