Description
OCLS actively supports metadata consistency in the college libraries through centralized metadata management services. with a particular emphasis on the development and maintenance of high-quality, shared records and standards.
This includes support for the College Libraries Ontario (CLO) cataloguing program, and the development of metadata standards, shared workflows, and education opportunities.

Governance
Metadata management is supported by the Metadata Steering Committee. The purpose of the Steering Committee is to develop and recommend policies, guidelines, and workflows regarding standard cataloguing and metadata activities. The current chairs are Dijana Kladnjakovic (Humber) and Stacey Boileau (OCLS).
