Selecting queues at log in

Open

At each log in you will be prompted with the “Choose Staffing Assignments” pop-up (see image on right).

You will see two queues:

• all_colleges

• all_backup

Please verify that you are connected to both of these queues every time you log in. You should see blue checkmarks, and it should say “I’m Staffing” in green.

Check queues once you’ve logged in

The staffing tab will tell you if you’re connected to the two queues (see image on left, below). Next to I’m staffing, it should say 2/2. If it says 0/2 or 1/2 you will see a warning sign that indicates that you are not properly connected. Click on “I’m staffing” and then select the appropriate queues (see image on bottom right).

What happens if I’m not connected to the queues?

• If you are not connected to the queues, you won’t receive any questions

• You also risk turning the service off. For the service to be on, at least one operator has to be connected to the queues

• If you are staffing the service and notice that chats are coming in in the Chat History tab but you don’t see any on the main screen, check the staffing tab
