Discussion Items

Update from the ISC

  • Identified that this is a transition phase of the project towards maintenance.

  • Focused discussion on the future of groups and subcommittees, as well as the creation ‘Page Turners’ (Page 1+ Steering Committee outline).

    • Suggestions made by this subcommittee regarding the Page Turners:

      • Suggestion made for the composition of the ‘systems’ component of the committee (1 large library, 1 small library, 1 French, 1 other)

      • E-resource proficiency will be critical

  • Some of the other subcommittees (Training, Communication and PR, and User Experience) have concluded.

  • E-Resources, SAD and Met/Cat will continue as a need has been identified for these subcommittee to continue.

  • There will be a transition to a new committee configuration; however, it is unlikely this will be before the New Year.

Final Shared Alma Analytics Reports Guidelines: https://docs.google.com/document/d/103T9BSXHnwxLEosOZmMzX8nXYXmbTUCUNTBNruu5sNg/edit?usp=sharing

  • The document will be sent to Aura Hill to be finalized so that it can be integrated into the Alma documents collection

  • A briefing note will be provided to the ISC to ensure that other colleges in the consortium are using the guidelines.

  • ACTION ITEM: Liana Giovando to create briefing note, and have it prepared for the upcoming Tuesday ISC Meeting (November 1st)

Rialto Instructions?

  • Rialto operates differently in the sense that each college will chose if it wants to subscribe to the service, when and they will implement on their own rather than as a group.

  • Currently many are struggling to understand what is needed in ALMA to support the integration of Rialto

  • Suggestion

    • Attempt to identify a member of the SAD committee who has done the integration so that we can create a guide for other colleges to reference.

    • Request input from OCLS regarding resource acquisitions information

    • Contact Eva at Centennial as a starting point

    • Create a small document that can be expanded as other colleges get involved and collect more information

  • ACTION ITEM: Gordana Vitez to speak to Eva at Centennial for assistance drafting guidelines for Rialto/Alma integration needs

  • ACTION ITEM: Liana Giovando create an ‘intention check’ poll with colleges on Rialto Integration

Review Notes on the SAD Subcommittee Recommendations for CLO

  • Liana provided a quick walk through of the document and its components

  • This document is for this groups use only, it will be translated into an actual page for CLO once the review is complete

  • ACTION ITEM: Liana Giovando to distribute the document via email - request individuals review, and identify if there is information missing
