CNAME is a Canonical Name Record or Alias Record. Our actual environment addresses aren't user-friendly so we assign CNAMEs which are more meaningful to customers. For this task, we confirm the first URL element that we'll use to provision your environment, ex. [xxx].alma.exlibrisgroup.com and [xxx].primo.exlibrisgroup.com.
For Primo, you'll also have the option to add a redirect from your CNAME to an even friendlier URL, such as search.[xxx].edu. This will be coordinated by your implementation team if interested.
Please notify Maria via Basecamp when you have elected your CNAME.
