General:
There is minimal updates from the ISC as many people have been working on getting ready for Go-Live
There have been several press releases
Communications information and guides can be found on the LibGuide here
If you have any promotional materials you have created for the Page 1+ Launch, please email them to Aura so they can be added to the LibGuide
Metadata and Cataloguing
The Met/Cat subcommittee continues to work on the CLO Metadata Standards - they hope these will be publishable for public consumption soon
The Met/Cat subcommittee is also constructing workflows that can be used by everyone
System, Analytics and Data
The SAD subcommittee is currently working on researching reports in Alma analytics
Mohawk and Niagara have begun their onboarding with Ex-Libris
The SAD subcommittee is looking to make a working group to research Alma D - the participants will likely be a combination of this subcommittees members and SAD’s members
Continuation of Committee Work
At this time there is no concrete decisions about the Governance Module going forward
This subcommittee (E-Resources) will remain active for the next few months
It is anticipated that there will be information available in the next few months that will allow re-evaluation of committee work and needs
Selecting the next collections for OCLS Import Profiles
The Film Collections has been selected
These collections are currently without MARC records in the Community Zone
ACTION ITEM: Nicole Morgan to provide/submit a new sheet of data for this subcommittee with a list of collections that are missing MARC records
The discussion on the Import Profiles Briefing Note:
Beginning
Discussion of creating and making available an Import Profile that could be shared with everyone so that each college can use it
It would be meant to enhance collection records (not bib records) to make items in the collection more easily accessible to users
Middle
ACTION ITEM: Lindsay Bontje to create a briefing note regarding the creation of the Import Profile
Scope of the project: to create an Import Profile that will improve the discoverability of E-Resources and provide guidelines of best practices for enhancing e-resource discoverability.
This would be optional for colleges to subscribe to/follow
Refer to the briefing note template in this document: https://clo-collaboration-spaces.atlassian.net/l/cp/AqYwz02g
Future
To research “recognizable” or “best names” that resources can be found by to make searching easier
Allow Databases (not just their results) to be retrieved through searching
Unssupress the bib record for package collections - allowing for all resources/databases to appear (has to be done by/through OCLS)
Fix the naming issue in Alma - public name override in the Bib (must be run by the Metadata team)
Assess if LibGuide integration will be needed or beneficial
Bring information and briefing note to the ISC next week, this will allow us to make everyone aware of our intentions and future actions
Recommendation to have this ready for install by mid/late August - allowing it to be available for students beginning in the fall
Identify Best Practices for setting up deposit account funds in an Institution Zones
Briefing Note concerning how Deposit account records are kept to avoid duplication
Ability to tie into usage stats
There is a way currently available in Alma - more research is needed to understand the scope of what needs to be done
There is no rush on this topic
This will aid non-acquisition-specific individuals by giving them recommendations and helping them understand what they are working with
ACTION ITEM: Lindsay Bontje to create a briefing note for Identifying Best Practices for Setting up Deposit Account Funds in an Institution Zone - there is no rush on this one
