Tips and tricks for link testing in Primo

In order to test if links are working properly you will need to search for specific titles in a package, rather than the name of a package itself. Specific titles can be found on title lists or by looking at what your library currently has access to through your eResources.

After you select a title you know you have access to, search for this title in Primo. Ensure authentication is working correctly by looking for obvious and more subtle signs of authentication:

  • The Primo link take users to the right location

  • The link has full text and/or download of the article available

  • The link takes you through the proxy

  • The URL you are linked to looks correct

  • You have access to all the dates of the resource you should have access to

  • No labels
