Testing Links in Primo VE

Tips for Testing Links in Primo VE

To test if links are working properly, you will need to search for specific titles in a package, rather than the name of a package itself.

Specific titles can be found on title lists or by looking at what your library currently has access to through your e-Resources.

After you select a title you know you have access to, search for this title in Primo. Ensure authentication is working correctly by looking for obvious and more subtle signs of authentication:

  • The Primo link takes users to the right location.

  • The link has full text and/or download of the article available.

  • The link takes you through the proxy.

  • The URL you are linked to looks correct.

  • You have access to all the dates of the resource you should have access to.
