George Brown College - Mapping & Migration Forms
Introduction
Ex Libris has prepared pre-extraction baseline (“version zero”) forms based on your test load forms and changes discussed on the George Brown College - Notes for Cutover page. The baseline forms, both Field Mapping and Migration, have been posted below. Please review these forms and follow instructions included in the Sirsi Field Mapping Form Version Tracking table and the Sirsi Migration Form Version Tracking table below.
June 17: @Joy Wen (Unlicensed) , great! I’ll clear out the old forms, and consider this your final e-res form. Thanks!
E-Resource Activation Form Draft Comments
June 16: @Joy Wen (Unlicensed) , I hadn’t noticed that you posted a new e-Res form on MFT. Does the “June 15” file replace the “June 14” file? Which tabs were updated in the June 15 version?
We had made the following notes on your June 14 version:
There are no activations on the “FREE” tab. Is this intentional? If so this is ok, just checking your intention.
On the “TITLE” tab, one STANDALONE line has PORTFOLIO_PID. Reminder: STANDALONE activations are intended for "local" IZ BIB records and "local" portfolios. A PID applies to CZ-linked records.
June 16 @Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed): For the STANDALONE title with Protfolio_PID, it’s called “Asian Intelligence” and should be under “Singled Journals”. I’ve revised it and posted the file as June 16. It will replace both June 15 and June 14 files (sorry for the many version as I couldn’t remove files in MFT). The June 16 file also includes activations on the “FREE” tab and some other minor changes. Thanks!

Comment from Joy: We are letting SIS populate statistical categories, should I remove Patrons / USER_STAT_CATEGORY? From Andrea (5/9): Yes, @Joy Wen (Unlicensed) , you can remove that mapping. @Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed) Please find the modified version with the above mentioned change. Thanks! | Notes

Hi, @Joy Wen (Unlicensed) . Here is your final migration form for approval. Please review and indicate your approval below.
One small, additional change I made: on the User Group form, I switched line 5, the default, to be an internal group, since all of the groups your had mapped to “NotFound” you had marked as internal. Thanks!
June23: migration from with additional local tags added.

I have updated your migration form draft:
Download THIS VERSION of the migration form in order to make the changes requested in “Action Items” before you submit your final migration form. For “Changes” listed below, there is no action needed unless you want to make a different choice than I did. You can upload your next version below, which I’ll review before making it final. Thanks!
Changes
Action Items
Hi @Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed) , I made the following changes based on the June 17th draft:
| June 30 @Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed) , Hi Andrea, I just wonder whether it’s too late to make one small edit in the migration form: in the “Item Material” tab, map REF-BOOK to MANUSCRIPT. I know it sounds weird but we’ll change it after Go Live. The reason is the material type REF-BOOK is supposed to be globally changed to the location “Reference” to tell them apart from regular books, however, I just noticed this global change didn’t happen… So have to map them somewhere to avoid them being mixed with regular books. So sorry for this late notice and I hope we can still make the edit. Please let me know. Thanks! |
