Discussion Items

Subcommittee Chair Update from Implementation Steering Committee (Dijana)

  • Over the past few weeks there has been discussion about the future of the Implementation Steering Committee along with the subcommittees active during the implementation process of Page 1+.

  • As we move away from the implementation phase of the project there has been a need for evolution of the ISC and the subcommittees that participated in the Page 1+ implementation.

  • As of right now this subcommittee will remain intact, functioning in its current capacity, until January of 2023.

  • There will be a November 30th meeting with CLO to discuss the future of the subcommittees moving forward. Each subcommittee, along with the ISC, has created a briefing note about what the subcommittees have been doing, the projects they have completed, and the needs they have identified as needing to continue.

  • There is the opportunity for many of the subcommittees to evolve into something new - seeing a combination of Standing Committees, subcommittees and working groups to serve the needs of the many going forward.

  • There has been a need identified for better communication with the Decolonizing the College Catalogue Committee.

Review the CLO Metadata Standards Examples for the LibGuide

  • The subcommittee took turns presenting and reviewing examples gathered by members for materials in the CLO Metadata Standards

  • All applicable changed made by relevant committee members in their documentation

  • Danielle put forward a resource for the Subcommittee to use when finding resources: RDA Toolkit
