What is the Alma Workshop about?

The Alma Workshop is a virtual workshop running from February 28 - March 3 with 3-4 daily online sessions on different Alma topics.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide insight into how you may want to use the Alma system through demonstration-led discussion sessions. The workshop is intended to be a starting point for these discussions and it is expected that some discussions will continue in the weekly project meetings after the workshop.

What are the sessions about?

There are 5 main topics: Acquisitions, Cataloguing, Patron Services, Fulfillment, and Analytics.

The sessions will mainly be demonstrations with time for Q&As. More details about each session can be found in the Event Schedule below.

How do I register for the sessions?

All attendees will be automatically registered for Session 1: Overview and Session 16: Alma Analytics as those sessions are for a general audience.

For the remaining sessions, please complete the Registration Form as soon as possible. Then you will be sent email invitations for the sessions you selected on the form. If you have any issues, please contact Aura at ahill@ocls.ca.

What do I need to do before the Alma Workshop?

  • Complete your Alma training as outlined on Basecamp. Aside from completing the Alma training, there is no pre-work required for the sessions. Attendees are expected to be very familiar with Alma functionality.

  • Register for the sessions you want to attend and we’ll see you on Feb. 28!
