Description

The CLO Quality Assurance Committee (formerly known as the Metrics & Assessment Committee) distributes an annual library survey to gather meaningful qualitative and quantitative metrics from the colleges. From this data, a report is created and distributed to stakeholders, which helps to demonstrate the value of the library, inform future projects, secure funding, and create capacity among the colleges.

OCLS supports the collection and compilation of the library data on behalf of CLO. This support includes distributing the survey, creating the final report, updating reports in Microsoft Power BI, and most recently, building Alma analytics report templates for all 24 colleges.

To read the most recent report, see the CLO Statistics page on the College Libraries Ontario site.

Governance

Metrics are guided by the Quality Assurance Steering Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to identify and recommend to CLO a framework and strategy for quality assurance and metrics that will demonstrate the value of the services and resources of CLO member college libraries to the academic agenda of Ontario colleges. The current chair is Ross Danaher (Loyalist).
