Fines that you do not want to bring over should be forgiven;
The following are recommendations for data cleanup that may or may not be relevant to all libraries.
Fines, fees: clean up fines, fees, or other transactions that are older than a certain date and/or less than a certain amount, that should be forgiven;
Patron files: clean up and/or purge patron records that are inactive or expired and have no outstanding items, fines, fees, or other transactions
Clean up brief order records are old, should have been closed, or have been inactive for years.
You also may need to clean up any coding errors that may prevent items from being mapped to locations;
Consider control field coding that needs to be cleaned upWeeded items: purge prior to cutover.
