Introduction

Ex Libris has prepared pre-extraction baseline (“version zero”) forms based on your test load forms and changes discussed on the Algonquin - Notes for Cutover page. The baseline forms, both Field Mapping and Migration, have been posted below. Please review these forms and follow instructions included in the Sirsi Field Mapping Form Version Tracking table and the Sirsi Migration Form Version Tracking table below.

E-Resource Activation Form Draft Comments

June 16: Maureen Sheppard (Unlicensed) , your eRes draft form on MFT looks good.

We noticed there were no activations on the LICENSED_AGG tab. If that is intentional, no action needed, other to comment back here and let me know it’s fine. Or, let me know if you need to resubmit your e-Res form to update that tab. Thanks! (If you upload a new version, please make sure to give it a new date in the file name.)

Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed) I think our e-resource activation form is fine. OCLS is activating most of our titles so we have nothing in the Licensed tab. Thanks!

Maureen

June 17: ok, Maureen Sheppard (Unlicensed) !

The only change was the addition of Summary Fund Code and Summary Fund Name to column B of the Funds tab. I will include these fields in the Funds extract (CSV).

June 16:

Maureen Sheppard (Unlicensed) ,

Here is an updated field mapping form:

I made one change, which was to map the old Sirsi SERC_TITLE_KEY to a note field (otherwise it wouldn’t migrate anywhere, since you switched to SISAC_ID as a matchpoint)

If you approve of the change, no action is needed, just let me know you approve of this form.

Thanks Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed)

I approve this form with the one small change.

Maureen

Or, I unlocked the “serial control” and you can undo my change and repost below. Thanks!

 June 16:

 Maureen Sheppard (Unlicensed)

I have updated your migration form draft:

Hi Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed)

This seems to be the Fielding Mapping form reposted and not the Migration form.

Maureen

<< Maureen Sheppard (Unlicensed) , yikes! I fixed it. The above is now the migration form. Apologies. >>

Download THIS VERSION of the migration form in order to make the changes requested in “Action Items” before you submit your final migration form.

For “Changes” listed below, there is no action needed unless you want to make a different choice than I did.

You can upload your next version below.

Changes

Questionnaire tab

  • I added 950## as a local field, to preserve your Sirsi catkey

  • I change line 19 to No, otherwise “$” would display in alt call nos.

Item Base Status Tab

  • I removed the lines for HOLDS and CHECKEDOUT, since these will be accounted for in the loans and requests extracts

Course tab

  • I cleared this for you

Hi Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed), these changes are fine. I think the cleared tab was the Campus tab not the Course tab - which is correct. We are removing the campuses. Sorry, for my ‘oops’ on the User Group tab. It should be fixed now. New version posted below.

Action Items

  • User Group tab: fill in Colum D, for the descriptions. They are required.

Hi Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed) - quick question. At test load you had moved data for us, from the 949 field to the 959, to keep it local and not part of the NZ fields. Will that be done again? I don’t know if there was a place to indicate that change in the forms. Again, many thanks!

Maureen\

June 17: Hi, Maureen Sheppard (Unlicensed) . At Test Load we copied the 004 to 951 (for all Sirsi sites) to preserve your Sirsi catkeys. We are doing the same this time, but to the 950 instead of 951 (per OCLS request). If you need us to copy 949 to 959 again, we can. Let me know. I do see you listed it on the migration from already.

Apologies for the campus/course mix-up in my notes. I need to put your form thru one final validation, and will post for your approval when that is done. Thx!

Thanks, Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed)!

Yes, please, could you copy the 949 to 959 again this time.

 Hi Andrea Bainbridge (Unlicensed)

Just wanted to confirm that, as per your entry on our “Notes for Cutover” page, the material types will be applied at cutover. (Everything was a book at test load.)

Thanks!

Maureen

June 20: Maureen Sheppard (Unlicensed) , I have this on my list to check for. Thanks! You will them be able to confirm for yourself when you review your data.
