Dana O’Hagan, Niagara: Alma digital uploader
have it set up for adding large files
no issues so far but asked by directors to have more people access the Alma digital uploader program and the 2 people who have been working on getting access are not getting the same confirmation of connection successful
Do you have Alma Digital Uploader and if so, do you have multiple people using it?
through the Developer Network, own program
no one is using it - Dana will contact Ex Libris, submit a Help Desk ticket
Aimee Jeffrey, Conestoga:
Is that the one through Amazon?
we’re not using it but I was talking to Lambton about it and they were considering it
Aimee: Knowledge Share
Does anyone have anything fun they’ve done recently?
Aimee coded in a link to the Page 1+ record for electronic resources in the Interested In letter for purchase requests this week
Interested In letter for purchase requests:
To create the link I used an unused Label. In my case I used receivingNote: https://librarysearch.conestogac.on.ca/discovery/search?vid=01OCLS_CONEST:CONEST&search_scope=All_resources&tab=default_tab&offset=0&query=any,contains, (that last comma is important)
Then I added this to wherever you want it in your XSL. I used the existing @mmsid
@@mmsId@@ :
<br />
</td>
<td>
<br />
<a> <!-- direct link to title --> <xsl:attribute name="href">@@receivingNote@@<xsl:value-of select="notification_data/mms_id"/> </xsl:attribute> <xsl:text>Link to this title.</xsl:text> </a>
<br />
</td>
</tr>Change the Conestoga view info to your own.
Aimee: Is everyone ready for the transition to the new patron UI?
Dana: all of us are using it now, the Done button change is an adjustment
Aimee: there was a change/fix to it last week, it previously didn’t print out your receipt or send e-mail
Aimee: Failed Jobs
Has anyone else been having a lot of failed jobs lately - automated, scheduled jobs?
For the last 2 weeks it has been fine but for the 2 weeks before every day there was an issue, so hopefully it was just an FTP issue and we are back on track
Dana: got one failed report for Syndetics this morning
Aimee: had SIS load fail, metadata imports from Rialto failing almost every day
Dana: Most of my failed jobs are coming from Syndetics, since April 1st.
Aimee: do you do a full Syndetics replace run at the end or beginning of every semester? We had issues once so Syndetics recommended doing a full replace once every semester or so.
Dana: the reports run every day
Aimee: just add and deletes?
Dana: could be, can you share an email with the instructions for the full replace?
Aimee: Syndetics Full Collection Update- https://admin.syndetics.com/static/GetStarted_SyndeticsUnbound.pdf (page 11)
Aimee: was it Angela who was having the statistical categories issue, did you get that sorted?
recently updated our statistical categories to add our new courses/programs
Angela: working on it with Rebecca
