OCLS Page 1+ Service Proposals

OCLS and College Libraries Ontario are planning for the support and ongoing improvement of Page 1+ with the aim to

  • Leverage the consortial purchasing power of the college library system,

  • Optimize the effective sharing of library resources and data, and

  • Maximize the capabilities and features available in the next-generation cloud-based Collaborative Library Services Platform.

A new set of services and activities have been identified that will enable OCLS to support the Page 1+ Consortium. These services, as outlined in the Proposed OCLS Page 1+ Service Clusters, represent OCLS’ best foot forward as we strive to understand how to meet the needs of the college libraries and help leverage the opportunities presented by the implementation of the Alma platform.

Proposed activities have come forward after consultation with the relevant subcommittees, with Ex Libris, with other consortia, and by drawing upon the knowledge and expertise of the OCLS staff.

These service proposals are still under consideration and will evolve as we learn more. At this time, we are inviting Page 1+ community members to provide initial thoughts and feedback. Please take a moment to review the service proposals and send any comments or questions to Virginia Roy (vroy@ocls.ca) and Liana Giovando (lgiovando@ocls.ca).
