NZ Collections Available for Testing

All NZ collections are now configured for remote access and testing (including with linking parameters entered as applicable).

For details about your college’s NZ collections, please see your ERMA to Alma Mapping Table.

How to Test and Report Issues

Please use Part 4: Testing Electronic Resources of the Alma and Primo VE Testing Guide to start testing your resources. Part 4 is still under development but there are several aspects of your e-resources can can test now.

To report any issues, please use [add form link] to report issues to OCLS. A spreadsheet will also be created to allow colleges to see what issues others are experiencing and connect multiple issues that are the same.

To manage expectations, please allow some time for OCLS to respond to your request initially as this is a new reporting system and the team is already working on previously identified issues (see below).

  • Reference and link to part 4 of the testing guide

  • How to report issues (still undetermined)

  • Expectation setting about what OCLS will do about it (needs discussion)

Identified Issues

From preliminary testing with the E-resources/Acquisitions Subcommittee, OCLS is aware of issues with many EBSCO collections, but the results are inconsistent across collections and colleges. Reported issues include:

  • Unable to locate in Primo

  • The collection appears in Primo, but with no link

  • The link leads to an error code 3 (only applicable to RA colleges)

  • The link leads to an “Error in HTTP handler” message, or other error message coming from EBSCO’s system

OCLS continues to investigate these issues.

Testing E-Resources Not In the Community Zone

OCLS also continues to investigate solutions for e-resources that are not available in the Community Zone. For more information, see Collections Not in Community Zone to be Activated.
