As we prepare for the next phase of the project, it is a good time to begin thinking about data cleanup projects you would like to complete before our final ILS data extracts are due for cutover in May 2022.

Cleanup projects may include activities that you can manage on your own, such as correcting known errors in bibliographic records, removing out-of-date local notes, and taking care of missing items or long overdue items . Please refer to Step 4: Data Cleaning in the Early Learning and Recommendations section of this site if you have not already familiarized yourself with the material. We have also created a new page with Further Suggestions for Data Cleanup. We will continue to update this page, so stay tuned for more!

In the meantime, OCLS is also requesting proposals for data cleanup projects that you would like OCLS help with. For example, taking care of cannot-be-discarded items, and purging inactive holds. Please use the table on the Call for Data Cleanup Project Proposals page to submit your requests for OCLS assistance in data cleanup projects.
