🎉 🌐 Welcome to the World of Page 1+
We are now fully immersed in the world of Page 1+ and it’s a huge achievement! Thank you to college library staff and OCLS for the significant effort given to get to this point.
Of course, there is still work to be done, and everyone is hard at work testing, cleaning up and tweaking settings to finetune their live environments. Governance planning for the future structure of of subcommittees and working groups is continuing in collaboration with CLO Executive. The Metadata/Cataloguing Subcommittee is developing a user-friendly version of the CLO Metadata Standards, as well as working on shared cataloguing workflows and other support material. OCLS is continuing their work to make sure Network Zone e-resources are discoverable and easy to access for the college libraries.
In the true spirit of collaboration, Cambrian College, Humber College and Collège Boréal have co-created a short, animated video to introduce Page 1+ to variety of audiences, from students and faculty to administrators. It has been shared with all the colleges and you can view it at page1plus.ca.
Some college libraries have expressed interest in Rialto, a one-stop vendor-neutral marketplace for academic content from a variety of publishers, aggregators, and platforms. We are arranging a demo with ProQuest and will have more information soon.

Future Milestones

The project is still on track. Colleges are currently completing the Ex Libris Health Checklist form to verify that essential day-to-day library activities are functioning properly post Alma and Discovery Go Live. This involves testing functionality to ensure Alma and Primo VE are working as expected. Ex Libris is on hand to help resolve any issues. OCLS is conducting testing for the Network Zone as well.
🔡 Page 1+ Implementation Basics
For those of you that aren’t familiar with Alma & Primo, here are some basics!

🛠 Useful Resources
We have a few updates to the Page 1+ LibGuide. The Launch Communications Plan has been completed, but the draft material is still available. Also, check out college libraries' promotional material and the communications for the Page 1+ launch. For training, we provided two Quick Reference Guide templates for libraries to help them create useful tools for staff and students.
We also created a Page 1+ webpage at page1plus.ca to provide a quick overview of the project, capture our news releases and list the members of the Page 1+ consortium. As previously mentioned, you can also watch the new Page 1+ video there as well!
OCLS Service Update
In support of Go Live, OCLS provided fulfillment data extracts for some colleges with a very tight turnaround for the final cutover. Post-Go Live work is ahead of schedule and the following tasks have already been completed: validated vendor data, entered customer parameters, inserted CLEAR links for e-resources in Primo, created local package collections in the Network Zone for 3 popular collections.
The current priority is to resolve as many e-resource issues as possible before the fall semester. However, other work also continues such as, improving the discoverability of e-collections in the Network Zone.
OCLS also gave a two-part presentation on Page 1+ service proposals to the Implementation Steering Committee which included an overview of the service proposals, a high-level summary of the proposed activities and initial cost estimates for services not covered under the existing funding. The ISC provided useful feedback and OCLS is planning some short information sessions to introduce the service proposal to other CLO members.
