About Your Mapping Table
We have created an ERMA to Alma Mapping Table for each college. Your mapping table shows the relationship between two datasets: your ERMA subscription records, and (where there is one) the NZ Alma collections.
We hope this table will help you work through the Alma and Primo VE Testing Guide, Part 4: Testing Electronic Resources. The table will also help you make e-Resource migration decisions such as which collections to include in your eResource Activation Forms as well as P2E.
About Duplication & the Many-to-Many Relationship
You'll notice duplication in the ERMA columns and in the Alma columns because the relationship between these two datasets is many-to-many.
This means that, in some cases, many Alma collections are mapped to a single ERMA record. Academic Search, for example, comes with a handful of free resources (Alt HealthWatch, ERIC, MasterFILE Elite, etc) and each of those resources have their own collection in Alma. If you subscribe to an Academic Search resource, you'll find it listed in your mapping table several times, once for every related Alma collection.
And vice versa. For example, you may subscribe to several resources on EDU.knotia.ca, and they may all map to the same platform-level collection in Alma. (There are no resource-level collections for most of these resources in the CZ.)
About Known Issues & The Flag and Notes Columns
OCLS is working through a back log of issue reports from the colleges. You may not find notes in your mapping table about the known issues you've reported. Our apologies for the delay.
We will be in touch as we progress through these reports. Your patience is appreciated.
