Meeting invitation text
Hello everyone,
Our sensitivity to privacy and securities matters are heightened due to recent cyber attacks
We would like to thank you all again for your help reviewing the OCLS Ex Libris SaaS agreement - Privacy and Security Schedule. In lieu of including the Privacy and Security Schedule as part of the SaaS Agreement, Ex Libris has proposed referring to their uniform published security and privacy procedures and policies in the text of the agreement.

and reviewing the HECVAT response from leading vendors for the colleges’ new library management software. Your expertise and feedback provided valuable insight for the selection of ExLibris, the winning proponent.

We recognize that the success of this project is not just dependent on the coordination and support of the library staff of the 18 institutions, but also on the support of key IT staff at those institutions as well.

Ex Libris, our leading proponent in providing the colleges’ new library management software, has offered to host an information session detailing their security, privacy, and compliance measures on Monday, July 13th at 9am.
The library management software will integrate with colleges' student information systems, financial systems, and other important areas under the purview of college Information Technology services.
This information session will provide an opportunity for you and other members of your team to review security, privacy and compliance documentation from Ex Libris, and to ask questions of key resources related to these topics. Please note that this session will not describe details of the implementation project plan, but is intended to provide a high-level overview of important security, privacy and compliance issues.
Please take a moment to review the Ex Libris Trust Center as well as the attached documentation prior to the information session. Please provide written questions in advance so we will be able to move quickly through those and address other questions that arise during the meeting.
The SaaS Agreement will be singed by OCLS’s President (William Best, Cambrian College) on behalf of the 18 colleges participating in the CLSP initiative. Your feedback is important to the process in this phase because contract negotiations are still ongoing and we want to ensure we come to an agreement with the vendor that will protect us and the colleges with regards to IT security.
Note that as contract negotiations are still ongoing, this information is still confidential.
