Introduction
Walk through the decision tree below to find out how to migrate each of your e-resources to your live Alma environment.
The outcomes in the decision tree are based on the PMO’s recommended best practice to only use your IZ for e-resources you’ve acquired independently, outside of OCLS. The questions in the decision tree are designed to help you fill out your Notes for Cutover survey, and to avoid duplication between the NZ and IZ.

If the NZ collection is distributed to you but you aren’t satisfied with the results, please check “Known Issues & ERMA Mapping“ for notes about the e-resource, and contact Nicole if you have any questions or new issues to report.
Something about our plans with import profiles vs. database records? I should at least update that spreadsheet first to indicate which ones are on our import profile shortlist and which ones will be created as databases instead. Although, should we announce our plan to the subcommittees before telling the rest of the colleges? Especially the eRes/Acq Subcom, given it’s their work we’re using as the basis for our decision.
Something to manage expectations? We have no plans as of yet for what to do with these known issues. They probably won’t all be resolved for go-live.
Something about how they can opt out? Either wholesale like Centennial, or for specific resources. For example, if they have MARCs for a few critical titles in an eresource, and we’re only planning on creating a database collection for that eresource, they may want to opt out of the NZ collection and include those MARCs in their P2E.
