After completing the Sample Testing Checklist, many of you have continued to test in your new environment.  To leave no stone unturned, you will need to complete Ex Libris’ Go Live Readiness Checklist to guide your efforts, make sure everything works as expected, and ensure you have sufficiently tested all the relevant modules in Alma.

...

Symphony Colleges: This checklist will need to be completed and returned to Ex Libris by April 29 [link to Basecamp] to the Go-Live Readiness Checklist page to allow time for OCLS to create new data extracts. When you upload your completed version, please make sure to rename it with your school name.

Non-Symphony Colleges: This checklist will need to be completed and returned to Ex Libris by May 10 (give a specific date) as there may be impacts for mapping and migration forms. When you upload your completed version to the Go-Live Readiness Checklist page, please make sure to rename it with your school name.

Approach

Tips/Hints

User management

Setting broad roles for user management may help to avoid testing roadblocks.

Fulfillment

Consider the Policies, TOU & Rules set up on your configuration form. Test loans, fines, etc.

Do they:

  • circulate for the correct loan period?

  • accrue the correct fine?

Resource managementManagement and Inventory

Default cataloger permission levels will allow all cataloguers the ability to test all functionalities.

Acquisitions

While not all libraries are migrating acquisitions, your test environment provides a good opportunity to explore potential.

Discovery interface (Primo VE)

Don’t forget to test functionality from both on and off campus.
