  • TCPR proposed as core project team, as well as Katherine as representative for French colleges.

  • Aubs and Mugg ask about human perspective on the background on what CLSP is and its role, what is the platform and what are we branding?

    • To fulfill the need for a shared collaborative space with other colleges - next generation system. No ability to see other libraries' resources. Allows students' to see and have access to resources and have it be a more seamless experience. Next generation systems to allow libraries to share with each other, becoming more efficient, allow students ability to see resources across institutions and achieve stronger buying power.

    • Also important to consider the need to brand the discovery layer for students as the front end of the CLSP, so it is easily recognized.

  • Project opportunity and goals resonates with attendees, no one had any comments

  • Project scope - at least 3 naming options will be provided, but more will be offered if needed.

    • Need to develop a list of key branded collateral for support brand roll-out.

    • Not in scope is website development, photography and/or video services, or production costs

    • Translation is in scope as long as it is not extensive. If A&M have a concern about extent of translation they will flag it.

  • Product Schedule requires heavier involvement in the first three weeks from core project team. The schedule may expand if more work is required to identify a name. Timelines are flexible with buffers built in.

  • Outlined Collaboration, Research and Delivery tools that may be used for the project. The CLSP is using Confluence and best to use for the CLSP project

  • Aub & Muggs values include intelligent design, collaboration, craftsmanship (provide feedback on material if it does not meet your expectations), balance (working hours are 8:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday), respect.

  • Next steps:

    • Internal/external stakeholder engagement - who they need to speak to

    • Collection of relevant documents and existing research

    • Competitive/Comparative Analysis

    • Bi-weekly meetings with core project team (presentations will be recorded)

  • ACTION ITEM: Need to identify 10-15 internal stakeholders and provide to Aubs & Mugg

  • ACTION ITEM: List of technologies that haven’t been picked up in the past would

  • Questions: what does successful outcome look like to you?

    • Something that makes it clear for students as possible what the search box is and benefit for them

    • Reaching beyond the library to reach students who may not use library

    • Vibrant and youthful more playful brand and something that works in an international/multilingual to reflect diverse background of students

    • Not just students, but staff and faculty and making it easy to access - simple but effective

    • Not too complicated, consider older adults who may be intimidated by technology/searching databases - should be easy and welcoming

    • Something that encourages faculty to use CLSP with their students

    • NO FLYING BOOKS or Magnifying glass

    • Something that remind us of being in college - fun part, feeling at home - reflecting the environment

  • ISC will act as primary decision-makers if needed, but TCPR will be collective decision makers

  • What are your in-house design resources? Who will the material be handed off to, a designer/coder or someone not experienced (e.g. if you got social media templates, would you be able to use them)

    • Wide range experiences, simpler is better, providing instructions as may need to liaise with IT

  • Will a branding package be provided? The different schools will have access to customize in a sandbox.

  • A&M will be create a screener survey about marketing and design resources at each institution.

  • If core team can provide potential respondents (students/faculty) for surveys, A&M can prepare anonymous survey for them.
