Between now and October 22

To create a set of electronic resources in your current ILS that will need P2E processing:

  1. Create a list of electronic collections and individual electronic titles loaded to your catalogue.

  2. Check the https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Content_Corner/Supporting_Resources/Alma_Community_Zone_Collection_List to see if the Community Zone indexes any of your electronic collections/titles on your list. If so, these collections/titles may be removed from your list as they can be activated through the link resolver activation sheet. The remaining items on the list should represent titles that need P2E processing.

  3. Create a P2E input file. This will be a .csv file that contains only 2 elements/line: BIB ID, e-resource_type. Additional instructions can be found in http://exl-edu.com/01_Alma/Implementation_and_Migration/Migration_Guides/P2E/#/lessons/R_Nym9M98DXiieeSnulgCqKYcnERkK6z. This process may involve some vendor support to create a report that simply generates the BIB ID. (Danielle has been able to retrieve some examples of Mandarin reports).

Note: To support P2E processing, you will also need to ensure the corresponding form sections are completed

  • P2e section in the Questionnaire tab of the Migration Form. This part of the form asks you to specify which fields in your bibliographic records contain the electronic resource linking information, the provider name and the public note.  (e.g., 856 |u etc.)

  • Identify which locations are e-locations on the Location mapping tab of Migration Form

Due October 25

When your draft P2E list is complete, deliver the file through MFT to ExLibris as specified in this Basecamp post.

Between October 26- Nov 1

If you indicated that you have individual titles:

  • OCLS will provide a file to you with instructions as to what you need to manually populate.

  • You will need to manually populate the file, including the bib identifier (catalog key). The catalog key can be found under the ‘Control’ tab when looking at a title record in Workflows.
For more information, see Symphony to Alma Data Delivery and Migration Guide.
